Changing notification preferences

There are two ways Fi Learn will send notifications to the user, one is via email and the other is via the bell icon located on the top menu bar in the system. A user has the ability to change how the system acts when trying to send these notifications and they can do this by clicking on the bell icon and then clicking on the cog icon in the top right corner of the pop-up window.

This will navigate the user to their current notification preference settings, on the left-hand side you will see which area the system will be sending the notification from and then on the right hand side you will see two columns titled ‘Web’ & ‘Email’. Email is set to how you would like to emails to send to send to you, and ‘Web’ refers to the notification bell on the system.

 

Once you have found an area you would like to change, you can then click on the On/off buttons to turn them on of off respectively. Note you may notice some items set to ‘locked’ these have been set at site level for all users and cannot be changed.

When selecting On/off it is important to note which column you are selecting, as the online and offline types work differently. If online is set to ‘off’ the system will not send you and email or notify you on the site if you are currently logged in. The offline column is for sending notifications when you not currently logged in.
