How to create NEW users in FI Learn

It is always better and easier to use ADM or accessplanit to create new users in FI Learn. If this is not possible, you can create new users using CSV upload and HR import.

Step 1: CSV upload

Step 2: HR import 

Please watch this video to learn how to do the HR import. This step links your users to your organisation which allows you to view them properly in the system. You will need to complete this template.

How to update EXISTING users in FI Learn

You may have a scenario where a learner already exists in FI Learn but you wish to enrol them on to new courses, or add new course groups to their existing course enrolments (eg a marking group).

Please watch this video to learn how to update existing learners. You will need this template which is different to the one you use for creating new users.

AVOID DUPLICATE ACCOUNTS

It is critically important that the email address in ADM or accessplanit matches the email address you have used in your CSV import. Failure to do this will result in either the API failing or a duplicate account being created in FI Learn with the wrong user type. Please make sure that email you are using in your CSV import matches the email exactly in ADM / accessplanit.
